Yaroslav Amosov

Yaroslav Amosov, known as "Dynamo," is a Ukrainian welterweight fighting out of Kyiv.

Amosov's path to combat sports began in his hometown of Irpin, where he took up combat sambo as a teenager, training under coaches at Kyiv's Hermes club before eventually joining the roster at American Top Team in Florida. His rise through the sport reflected years of dedicated grappling development rooted in Ukraine's storied sambo tradition.

His amateur pedigree is extensive: Amosov is a four-time Combat Sambo World Champion and multiple-time European champion, credentials that earned him the title of Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine.

Inside the cage, Amosov is a grappling-heavy technician who thrives on relentless forward pressure, elite takedowns, and suffocating top control. His submission game is especially dangerous, built around chokes and joint locks that have produced some of his most memorable finishes, while his sambo base allows him to control the pace of a fight standing or on the mat.

Amosov built his reputation as one of the most feared welterweights outside the UFC during his years with Bellator, where victories over Ed Ruth and Logan Storley (twice) helped establish his standing in the division. He captured the Bellator Welterweight Championship with a dominant decision over Douglas Lima, then made his UFC debut with a submission win over Neil Magny
