Gabriella Fernandes

Gabriella Fernandes is a Brazilian mixed martial artist competing in the women's flyweight division of the UFC. Born and raised in Brazil, Fernandes came up through the South American MMA circuit and earned her opportunity on the sport's biggest stage through a combination of aggressive finishing ability and the kind of raw athleticism that scouts notice long before a fighter appears on an international card.

Fighting out of Brazil, Fernandes brings the aggressive, forward-moving energy that has characterized Brazilian MMA since the sport's earliest regional circuits. She is a striker by natural inclination but has built out a grappling game capable of threatening opponents on the ground as well, giving her the versatile offensive profile that makes women's flyweights difficult to game-plan against when they are operating with confidence.

Women's flyweight is one of the UFC's most talent-dense divisions, featuring world-class wrestlers, elite strikers, and decorated submission artists from Brazil, the United States, and Southeast Asia. Breaking into the rankings of a division at that level requires not just technical ability but a competitive mentality that thrives under pressure — the kind of proving ground that Brazilian prospects have historically used to forge their toughest characteristics.

Fernandes carries the expectation of a fighter with significant upside, representing the next wave of Brazilian talent looking to stake a claim in a division where the championship picture is in consistent motion. Her continued development within the UFC represents one of the more intriguing narratives in the flyweight landscape, and the performances that brought her to the attention of the rankings paint a picture of a fighter still finding the ceiling of what she is capable of.
