Mick Parkin

Mick Parkin is an English professional mixed martial artist who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Parkin hails from Sunderland, England, and came to mixed martial arts after working outside the sport, building his amateur experience before turning professional. He trains out of Fish Tank MMA, sharing a gym and fight camps with elite heavyweights including Tom Aspinall, a partnership he has credited with speeding up his development against the highest level of competition.

A brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Parkin compiled an unbeaten amateur mixed martial arts record before turning professional, and he captured the Olympus Fighting Championships heavyweight title on the UK regional circuit, establishing himself early as one of Britain's top heavyweight prospects.

Parkin is regarded first as a stand-up striker, bringing heavy hands and finishing instincts, but he pairs that power with a credible grappling foundation that lets him end fights on the floor as well as on the feet.
