Mitch Raposo

Mitch Raposo is an American mixed martial artist from Fall River, Massachusetts, who competes in the flyweight division of the UFC.

A product of Fall River's blue-collar fight scene, Raposo wrestled at B.M.C. Durfee High School before turning his focus to mixed martial arts as a teenager. He came up through the New England regional circuit, fighting for promotions such as Cage Titans Fighting Championship, Classic Entertainment and Sports (CES MMA), and Combat Zone. He trains alongside a group of Massachusetts-based UFC fighters known as the "New England Cartel," which includes bantamweight contender Rob Font and featherweight standout Calvin Kattar, both of whom he has trained with since his late teens.

Raposo holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and built an undefeated amateur record before signing with the UFC. His talent was recognized early when he was selected as the No. 1 overall pick by coach Alexander Volkanovski for Team Volkanovski on season 29 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Inside the cage, Raposo is known for relentless forward pressure and heavy-handed boxing, frequently looking to land his overhand right, backed up by a wrestling base and jiu-jitsu grappling defense. His willingness to trade in the pocket and grind through adversity has defined his UFC outings.

Raposo made his promotional debut at UFC 302 on short notice, dropping a split decision to then-undefeated Andre Lima, and followed it with another close decision loss to Su Mudaerji. He earned his first Octagon victory with a unanimous decision over Azat Maksum at UFC 321
