Steve Garcia

Steve Garcia Jr., known to fans as "Mean Machine," is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Garcia grew up in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area, where he was introduced to combat sports as a teenager. He began his training at a satellite gym connected to the Jackson camp before further developing his striking and grappling at Luttrell's MMA. He later became a full-time member of Jackson-Wink MMA Academy in Albuquerque, training under longtime coaches Greg Jackson and Mike Winklejohn. Before committing to fighting as a career, Garcia worked outside the sport, including time as a gym instructor, while building his amateur and early professional resume.

Among his verifiable credentials, Garcia holds an International Kickboxing Federation super lightweight championship, reflecting the striking foundation that has defined his career. He built his early professional record on the regional circuit and in Bellator before earning a UFC contract opportunity through Dana White's Contender Series.

Inside the cage, Garcia has become known as one of the featherweight division's most action-oriented strikers.
