UFC Vegas 96 Recap: It was short betting guide last week, but we did win on Caio Borralho over Jared Cannonier. There was not too much action on the card besides the main event.

Gilbert Burns (+154) vs. Sean Brady (-185)
Way back in the day on UFC Vegas 43, I vividly recall advising you to bet on Michael Chiesa over Sean Brady. On paper, Brady won. But if you go back and watch that three round fight, Brady completely gasses out in the third round. Chiesa would have had him finished if there were 7 more seconds left.
Granted the fight was three years ago, but it burned an image in my brain of Brady’s cardio issues. Now he’s in a five round main event against Gilbert Burns.
Burns and Brady are physically, statistically, and stylistically similar. The largest difference is their age discrepancy. Burns is 38 years old, which is shocking. However, the last time out, Gilbert Burns was beating Jack Della Maddalena before making a massive mistake in the third round.
The UFC Vegas 97 Main Event is primarily a grappler vs grappler fight. Regardless, Burns is the much more experienced fighter here. He’s fought for the title and been in multiple five round fights. I am struggling to see why Sean Brady opened as the favorite.
Take the value on Gilbert Burns and run.
Bet: Gilbert Burns
Andre Petroski (-285) vs. Dylan Budka (+230)
Andre Petroski is a wonderful addition to any parlay. Petroski might not be the flashiest fighter in the UFC, but he wins.
Dylan Budka only recently popped up on the circuit after winning his contender series debut less than a year ago. Since then, Budka is 0-1 in the UFC. Similar to Petroski, Budka is primarily a grappler. This makes it a no-brainer to bet on the more experienced fighter.
For the value, I love a Gilbert Burns / Andre Petroski two legger parlay.
Bet: Andre Petroski
