The Global Fight League (GFL) held tonight’s first-ever mixed martial arts draft. Discover the draft results and live coverage below.

The new MMA promotion, the Global Fight League (GFL) is expected to launch in April. Before teams collide and fights are made, rosters must be set. The GFL draft will air live tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Jan. 24.

120 fighters will be selected for each of the six GFL teams worldwide. GFL has revealed lists of eligible fighters, including eight former UFC champions. Other notable names include Tony Ferguson, Dillon Danis, Paige VanZant, and Tyron Woodley. Plus former Bellator champions Gegard Mousasi, Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, Julia Budd, Hector Lombard, Patricky Pitbull, and Will Brooks.

Global Fight League Summary

The Global Fight League will push the boundaries no other promotion has dared to try before. It will offer a 50/50 revenue split between team owners and athletes, and classify fighters as employees with guaranteed contracts, health insurance, and pension plans.
