Oh man, Nashville is a wild place, if you haven’t gone add it to your bucket list. Nice little vacation but now, back to our regularly scheduled program.
Covering the three big fights for UFC 274’s betting guide. Normally a huge underdog fan, but not this week…..
Charles Oliveira (-165) vs. Justin Gaethje (+145)
As a value guy, Justin Gaethje is tempting, very tempting. But it’s time for Charlie Olives to shine! It still feels like the man is being disrespected. Don’t get me wrong, Justin Gaethje is a killer but Oliveira is so well versed in every facet of the game.
Gaethje has a level-up in his leg kicks and power. If the fight gets into later rounds, I am a little curious to see how Oliveira’s legs hold up. But Oliveira keeps proving his toughness again and again.
Riding with Charles Oliveira, he holds more tools and the capability to finish in a variety of ways. Not confident enough to prop bet a finish but wouldn’t be surprised if we see Oliveira by submission.
Bet: Charles Oliveira (-165)
Rose Namajunas (-220) vs. Carla Esparza (+180)
Love that Rose went out and called for the Esparza fight, shows tremendous confidence. Betting on Rose but with a little bit of caution. Worried that if Esparza gets her to the ground she won’t be able to get up.
Rose has a clear advantage on the feet, she should be able to use her reach advantage to keep Esparza at bay. If Esparza does close the distance that is when I’d start to worry. But again, Rose did call her shot for the Esparza fight. She’s out for blood.
Give me Rose Namajunas, and give me her by TKO/KO, love the knockout value, let’s get wild! Thug Rose! Thug Rose! Thug Rose!
Bets: Rose Namajunas (-220)
Namajunas wins by TKO/KO (+300)
Michael Chandler (-400) vs. Tony Ferguson (+300)
Since transitioning to the UFC, Michael Chandler has possibly fought the toughest stretch of opponents out of anyone. He has been fed killer after killer. Now, he gets a much older Tony Ferguson.
If Ferguson was still in his prime, this would be a more competitive fight. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Ferguson is sadly towards the tail end of his career and he finds himself face to face with Chandler. Low key does not feel like Chandler is 1-3 in the UFC, he has had some absolute wars in the octagon.
Chandler is due for a massive bounce back win. Hate to say it, but if your looking for a value play Chandler to win by TKO/KO could be it.
Bets: Michael Chandler (-400)
Chandler wins by TKO/KO-110
