UFC 277: Pena vs. Nunes 2 Betting Guide

UFC London was a piss poor performance, disappointed in myself. Thought I had a read on the board, guess not. Went 2-2 with straight bets. Feel horrible for Tom Aspinall, not how you want to see any fight end.

On paper, the lineup for UFC London is better than UFC 277 Pena vs Nunes. Oh well, nothing we can do, onto the betting guide. The main card is tricky, hating a majority of the lines. If I had to place a bet on the title fights I’d take Julianna Peña and Kai Kara-France for their value.

Alex Morono (+140) vs. Matt Semelsberger (-165)

Alex Morono is an interesting guy. He’s 31 years old with an insane fight IQ. He’s fought some great competition at 170. Plus he has a very strange fighting style that tends to give opponents a difficult time. Honestly, I am a fan of Alex Morono. His story of how he discovered mixed martial arts is inspiring.

On the other hand, Matt Semelsberger is a big powerful guy whos looking to put you away. It’s an interesting match-up, but Semelsberger does not have anywhere near the same fight experience or fight IQ as Morono.

Alex Morono is going to play his fight outsmart and pull away with a decision victory. Morono might not be the flashiest guy in Welterweight but he’s a genius. 3-0 in 2021 and I truly believe he keeps that streak alive against Matt Semelsberger.

Bet: Alex Morono (+140)

Drew Dober (-205) vs. Rafael Alves (+175)

Never seem to remember Drew Dober has been in the UFC since 2014. He’s just a timeless prospect in my eyes. Now he faces semi-newcomer Rafael Alves. Alves signed with the UFC after a submission win on the contender series in 2020. Since then he has gone 1-1.

Dober has fought some of the best in the lightweight division and with that, he brings a massive experience advantage over Alves. 17 of his professional fights have taken place under the UFC. No training camp can replicate the invaluable cage experience Dober has.

Keeping it short and sweet, Drew Dober is a great bet. Staying away from prop bets this week but wouldn’t be surprised if Dober knocks him out.

Bet: Drew Dober (-205)
