UFC kicks off its 2025 pay-per-view calendar with a massive fight card, UFC 311 Islam Makhachev vs. Arman Tsarukyan 2 on Jan. 18 in Los Angeles. UFC 311 features two title fights. In the main event, UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev puts his title on the line against Arman Tsarukyan in a rematch. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili faces off against Umar Nurmagomedov. Below are the opening betting odds for the UFC 311 fight card.

UFC 311 Main Event: Makhachev Vs. Tsarukyan 2

In April 2019, Tsarukyan’s UFC debut came on short notice against Makahchev. Tsarukyan impressed the world and won a Fight of the Night bonus. However, he went on to lose via unanimous decision to Makahchev. Nearly six years later, the two square off again for the UFC lightweight championship of the world.

Makhachev captured the vacant UFC lightweight title in October 2022 with a submission win over former UFC 155-pound titleholder Charles Oliveira.

Makhachev has defended his crown three times since defeating Oliveira. His first two title defenses were against former champion, Alexander Volkanovski. In his most recent title defense, Makhachev submitted former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 302.
