Advised betting on Gilbert Burns against Khamzat Chimaev last week, and I have zero regrets. Very underdog happy after we cashed in on Aljamain Sterling. The Luque vs. Muhammad Betting Guide is underdog-heavy.
Vicente Luque (-170) vs. Belal Muhammad (+150)
If you do not know, Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad fought back in 2016, and Luque knocked Muhammad out in the first round. Since then, they both have been on a similar winning streak to find themselves facing off once again.
Belal Muhammad always seems to shine in the Apex. He knows how to utilize the smaller cage to his advantage. Looking back at the Wonderboy fight, Muhammad was a pretty big underdog, and he dominated. Might not have been a flashy victory but it was a victory.
Betting on Muhammad’s fight IQ, he has an uncanny ability to prevent fighters from getting into their groove. Love the value of Belal Muhammad here.
Bet: Belal Muhammad (+150)
Chris Barnett (+185) vs. Martin Buday (-225)
Blows my mind that Chris Barnett opens as an underdog, especially after his most recent knockout. I’m sure you’ve seen the video.
Martin Buday is 9-1, making his UFC debut after a knockout win in Dana White’s Contender Series. Might be riding high on the Barnett hype train after seeing a 260-pound grown man do a front flip. However, the almost 2-1 odds here are too good to pass up.
Buday has not faced anyone near the skill level of Barnett. The value on Barnett is great, might as well sprinkle Barnett by TKO/KO too.
Bets: Chris Barnett (+185)
Chris Barnett wins by TKO/KO (+350)
Trey Ogden (-130) vs. Jordan Leavitt (+110)
Interesting to see Jordan Leavitt open as an underdog here. Honestly was not planning on including this fight until I saw the odds. Leavitt at plus money is a fantastic bet.
Trey Ogden is 15-4 and scheduled to make his UFC debut on Saturday. Out of Ogden’s 4 losses, 3 have come by submission. Love the match-up, Leavitt is a wizard on the ground and you have the opportunity to steal him at plus money.
Leavitt by submission.
Bet: Jordan Leavitt (+110)
