I said UFC Vegas 63 was a horrible card to bet on and that proved to be accurate. I feel horrible for Kattar, hate to see him go out like that.
UFC Fight Night Rodriguez vs Lemons is another average card. Had three picks until Maxim Grishin withdrew against Jailton Almeida. The plan was to bet on Almeida twelve different ways but can’t do that now.
Neil Magny (-115) vs. Daniel Rodriguez (-105)
Basically, a pick ’em fight between Neil Magny and Daniel Rodriguez. Might as well give my two cents on the co-main. We last saw DRod a month ago amongst all of the 279 mayhem. Even though myself and Dana White do not think DRod did enough to beat Leech. Rodriguez will be able to do enough to beat Magny.
As a gambler, Neil Magny might be one of the most frustrating guys to bet on. You have no idea which version of Magny is going to show up. On the other hand, you know what you are going to get with DRod. A tough persistent striker who is going to constantly move forward.
Placing my bet on DRod solely based on his consistency and Magny’s inconsistency. Rodriguez should be able to do enough damage to close in on another decision victory.
Bet: Daniel Rodriguez (-105)
Mark Madsen (+185) vs. Grant Dawson (-215)
I’ve advised betting on Mark Madsen a few times now. Each bet has hit, but I feel like we are barely sneaking by. Madsen is fighting much better competition and his game does not seem to be evolving as quickly as he is climbing the division.
Whereas Grant Dawson is a well-rounded, complete mixed martial artist. Dawson has been with the UFC since 2016 and has earned himself 6 wins and 1 crazy tie. Dawson has also only lost once and that was back on the regional scene.
Madsen might be undefeated in his career, but he has not faced someone of Gran Dawson’s caliper. Expect Dawson to win by a decision here but if you are looking for a sneaky bet, I’d look at Dawson to win in round 3. Could see Dawson pulling off a round 3 TKO.
Bet: Grant Dawson (-215)
