Kattar recently returned from a serious knee injury and lost to Aljamain Sterling in a very close fight.

Zalal has not faced the same level of competition as Kattar. He was cut from the UFC after suffering three consecutive losses and a decline in 2021, but he is currently riding a six-fight win streak.

Three of those fights have been in the UFC, and Zalal has impressively finished his opponents via submission in all three. The worry for Kattar has to be the fact that Sterling took him down, multiple times and didn’t have too much of an answer for it.

If Zalal can’t get this one to the ground, then he will be outclassed. Even past his prime at this point, Kattar can still give an opponent hell standing. He’s still got power, and his combinations remain excellent. He is not as fluid on the ground.

Zalal’s never fought anyone on this level before, while Kattar has routinely mixed it with the best in the Featherweight division. Even though Kattar is on a losing streak, he’s never looked outmatched.
