UFC: Vettori vs Holland Predictions and Fight Picks

Not having a UFC event last Saturday put a damper on the week. Friday was a good Bellator card though, If you follow me on Twitter you saw the Bellator picks went 2-0. Some quick and easy cash.

Now we are back in the swing of thing with ufc breakdowns for Vettori vs Holland.

A reminder, the prelims start at 12 pm EST main card starts at 3 pm. Pretty sure its because this is an ABC card.

When dissecting the card, only found three picks. Tons of close match ups, plus some horrible Vegas odds I did not even want to touch.

Marvin Vettori (-320) vs Kevin Holland (+250)

Who has more of a fighting spirt than Kevin Holland? All the props in the world for Holland stepping up and saving the card. If you have been following along with my ufc breakdowns and predictions, you know I am a huge Kevin Holland stand. Just not this time. Marvin Vettori has show improvement every time entering the octagon. On top of it the Italian seems pretty pissed off, and that’s terrifying. Could be the fact he has had 3 fights canceled in the past 5 months. Holland’s last fight made it clear for everyone to see his biggest weakness is the ground. I see Vettori wearing out Holland in the first couple rounds then looking to submit him past round 3. Though I am picking Vettori I do not like these odds. Holland holds a 7 inch reach advantage over the Italian, and has the potential to make this fight very interesting. Marvin Vettori’s odds are so high, might be best in a parlay. It’s Vettori’s fight to lose.

Marvin Vettori (-320)

Jack Shore (-155) vs Hunter Azure (+125)

Does Vegas know something we don’t? Jack Shore left is championship reign over at Cage Warriors to start a new chapter in the UFC. The Wales prospect entered the UFC hot, grabbing back to back rear naked choke wins, improving his record to 13-0. By heart, Hunter Azure is a wrestler. When trying to stand, Brian Kelleher knocked Azure out. After being knocked out Hunter Azure made the switch down to Bantamweight were he beat Cole Smith by decision. Jack Shore loves to take the fight to the mat, averaging 5.16 takedowns per 15 mins. However Shore does not just rely on his ground game, out of his 13 wins 4 have come by knock out. Plain and simple, Areas where Hunter Azure is good, Jack shore is better. I am confused why the odds are so close, many others are too. According to Tapology out of 1200 people, 91% have picked Jack Shore to win. Maybe the role is flipped, maybe we know something Vegas doesn’t , I’ll take Vegas’s money. Throwing a Whale on Jack Shore.

Jack Shore (-155)

William Knight (+110) vs Da Un Jung (-140)
I had William Knight in last weeks prediction breakdown, of course right after I drop the post the fight gets canceled. Lets run it back with another William Knight breakdown. Da Un Jung is 2-0-1 since he entered the ufc in 2019. Jung’s two wins are over Mike Rodriguez and Khadis Ibragimov, who have a combined ufc record of 2-8. William Knight has the power to knock Jung out. Like previously mentioned in the ufc 260 prediction post, Knight has an unbelievable coach in Tyson Chartier. Can’t deny the impeccable game plans Tyson has been drawing up for his fighters. Trust TopGame Management, trust in the 2020 coach of the year Tyson Chartier.

William Knight (+110)

Managed to find a whale and a dog bet for UFC Vegas 23. One week off from ufc fights will hopefully bring us good luck. I can not wait till the money starts rolling once again.
