Main Event: Kai Stewart vs. Harry Gigliotti

Kai Stewart is 25 years old and already has five title defenses on his record. He grew up in Great Falls, Montana, was a three-time Class AA state wrestling finalist in high school, and made his BKFC debut in 2021. Two years later he was the featherweight champion, the youngest in the organization’s history at the time he won the belt. Since then he has run through every challenger the organization has put in front of him, with three of those title defenses earning Fight of the Night honors. He is 9-0 and ranked third pound-for-pound in BKFC.

Harry Gigliotti is from Haverhill and is 6-0, which makes this a rare all-unbeaten title fight. He earned this shot and he knows the stakes. “It’s surreal,” Gigliotti said. “I’ve only dreamed of opportunities like this. Now I’m fighting at Fenway Park for a world title.” The crowd is going to be heavily in his corner and that matters in Bare Knuckle, where the atmosphere is close and loud in a way that most combat sports venues are not.

Co-Main: Christine Ferea vs. Sofia Landi

Christine Ferea has been the most dominant women’s fighter in BKFC since she started competing in 2018. She went through Muay Thai and MMA before finding her home in Bare Knuckle, and she has been nearly untouchable in this format. Her record stands at 11-1, she has five title defenses, and she won the inaugural Queen of Violence tournament at BKFC 82 last October. She is 43 years old and still finishing people.

Sofia Landi arrives at 6-0 as the King of the Street Champion out of Buenos Aires, making her BKFC debut. She brings a legitimate bare knuckle background into this, and she is not the unknown quantity a typical debuting fighter would be. Ferea has seen plenty of challengers step in with confidence, but Landi’s record at least earns her the respect of being taken seriously going in.

Joe Lauzon Returns at Fenway

Joe Lauzon is from Bridgewater and his last fight was in Boston. He knocked out Jonathan Pearce at UFC on ESPN in October 2019 in front of a home crowd and then stepped away from competition. He is 42 now and making his Bare Knuckle debut nearly seven years later, and he picked Fenway Park as the place to do it. “The thing that got me really excited was fighting at Fenway Park,” Lauzon said. “There’s something special about competing on the field at Fenway.”

In the UFC, Lauzon built his reputation on grappling. He finished 17 fights by submission and earned 15 post-fight bonuses across his career, tied for fourth most in UFC history. Bare Knuckle does not allow takedowns or submissions, so he is coming in with a different toolset than the one that made him famous. His opponent, Stash Kuykendall is 0-2 in BKFC. This is a feel-good homecoming fight, and the crowd at Fenway will be in full support of Lauzon.

New England Names on the Card

This card is stacked with local fighters. Peter Barrett from Plymouth is a former UFC fighter who has gone 2-0 in BKFC. UFC veteran Charles Rosa is making his Bare Knuckle debut. Robinson Perez from Southbridge is making his BKFC debut in the Ironweight bout against Guilherme Viana. Shane Jordan is from Brockton and Rico DiSciullo is from Somerville. BKFC founder Dave Feldman put it plainly when the event was announced: “This is a city of fighters, a city that doesn’t quit.”
