Vitor Petrino

Vitor Petrino Malaquias Salvo, known as "Cabuloso," is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who has competed in the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions of the UFC.

Born and raised in Santa Luzia, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, Petrino began training in martial arts as a teenager, first developing a base in sanda and Chinese boxing before transitioning into amateur mixed martial arts competition. He turned professional in 2019, opening his career with a first-round knockout of Rodolfo Bellato, and went on to build an unbeaten run on the Brazilian regional circuit. Petrino trains out of CM System under the guidance of Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Cristiano Marcello, a camp known for developing well-rounded, fundamentally sound fighters through collaboration between striking coaches, wrestlers and grapplers.

Petrino earned his spot on the UFC roster through Dana White's Contender Series, once again finishing Bellato, this time via second-round knockout, to secure a contract. He made his promotional debut with a unanimous decision win over Anton Turkalj that was recognized with a Fight of the Night bonus.

Stylistically, Petrino is an aggressive, well-schooled striker with real finishing power in his hands, backed by a credible grappling pedigree that lets him hunt submissions when the opportunity presents itself. That combination has produced some of the more explosive performances in the light heavyweight and heavyweight ranks, including a slick arm-triangle submission of veteran Marcin Prachnio and a highlight-reel knockout of Modestas Bukauskas, both of which earned him Performance of the Night honors.

Petrino has established himself as one of Brazil's more dynamic products of the modern UFC talent pipeline, carrying the CM System banner and a finisher's instinct into every walk to the cage.
