Dustin Jacoby

Dustin "The Hanyak" Jacoby is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the light heavyweight division of the UFC. Born in Fort Morgan, Colorado, and raised in Illinois, Jacoby began training in martial arts as a young child, working through taekwondo and wrestling before turning to mixed martial arts as an adult. He fights out of Elevation Fight Team in Denver, Colorado, a camp known for producing a deep roster of UFC competitors.

Before establishing himself in the UFC, Jacoby built a credentialed career in professional kickboxing. In 2013, competing as a late replacement, he won the Road to Glory USA 95kg tournament in a single night, stopping three opponents in succession to earn a contract with GLORY Kickboxing. He went on to compete at the top level of GLORY's middleweight division for several years, sharing the ring with elite strikers, including a bout against future UFC champion Alex Pereira.

That striking pedigree is the foundation of Jacoby's game inside the cage. He is a rangy, technical kickboxer who uses length, timing, and heavy hands to control distance and hurt opponents on the feet, and his finishing ability has made him one of the more feared strikers in the light heavyweight ranks. After an earlier UFC stint ended in release, Jacoby rebuilt his career through his kickboxing run and earned his way back to the promotion via Dana White's Contender Series
