Volkan Oezdemir

Volkan Oezdemir, known as "No Time," is a Swiss mixed martial artist of Kurdish heritage who competes in the light heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Born and raised in Fribourg, Switzerland, he grew up with a Swiss mother and a Kurdish father from Turkey, a background that shaped his identity as a fighter representing both nations.

Oezdemir came to combat sports relatively late, having worked as a bar owner and personal trainer before dedicating himself fully to fighting. His path into the sport began after he crossed paths with heavyweight standout Alistair Overeem at the Golden Glory gym in the Netherlands, an encounter that pulled him toward serious training. He turned professional in mixed martial arts in 2010, building a striking-first game that would come to define his UFC run. Along the way he also compiled an unbeaten record as a professional kickboxer.
