Noche UFC: Grasso vs. Shevchenko 2, Live From T-Mobile Arena In Las Vegas, Nevada On September 16, 2023. To properly celebrate Mexican Independence Day, the card should have been in Mexico. Instead, Dana named it “Noche UFC”. Noche just means Evening. Enjoy the two bets for this Evening UFC Betting Guide.
It’s Mexican Independence Day, I did not bet on a single Mexican, which is a massive mistake. To pay my respects, I crafted a 7-leg Mexican descent parlay. I will post it on Twitter.
Alexa Grasso (+140) vs. Valentina Shevchenko (-165)
All the signs point to betting on Alexa Grasso. She’s the champion, as an underdog, fighting on her country’s independence day. How many more signs does a superstitious bettor need?
However, let me be the voice of reason. The first time Shevchenko’s odds were around (-900). She started off slow but dominated the second and third rounds. Valentina was even winning the fourth round until she made a brutal mistake. Being able to bet on Valentina Shevchenko at (-165) is a pure gift.
One of the greatest female fighter of all time at this price is too good to pass up.
Bet: Valentina Shevchenko
Raul Rosas Jr. (-650) vs. Terrence Mitchell (+450)
How can Raul Rosas Jr. be a (-650) favorite when he was dominated by Christian Rodriguez for 15 minutes? Hand up, I jumped on the Rosas Jr. bandwagon and advised you to bet on him. But, “There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”
Rosas Jr. is only 18 years old. While Terrence Mitchell is a fully developed 33-year-old man. Mitchell debuted in the UFC on short notice, where things did not go as planned. Cameron Saaiman finished him in the first round. When you add Mitchell’s lackluster debut and the hype around Rosas, you get a 6 to 1 favorite.
On top of that, Terrence Mitchell’s previous competition on the Alaskan regional scene is subpar at best. But, after seeing Rosas Jr. get manhandled last time, it’s impossible to bet on him. From a value perspective, you can’t pass up betting on Terrence Mitchell with these odds.
Bet: Terrence Mitchell
