PFL will crown its first Super Fights champions on Saturday October 19th at PFL: Battle of the Giants in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The upcoming PFL PPV event streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view and DAZN, which features two former UFC champions. Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira and former UFC/Bellator champ Cris Cyborg, who takes on two-time PFL season winner Larissa Pacheco.
The contests will crown the inaugural heavyweight and women’s featherweight Super Fights champions.
The Super Fights Main Event
The main event will feature former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou, who is finally making his long-awaited PFL debut when he takes on last year’s PFL Heavyweight Champion Renan Ferreira.
It’s been almost two years since the world last saw Ngannou compete in MMA. After a couple of boxing matches, Ngannou is eager to showcase his devastating knockout power once again when he attempts to end Ferreira’s four-fight win streak. Most recently a 21-second knockout against Ryan Bader at PFL vs. Bellator earlier this year.
The Co-Main Event
Cris Cyborg will enter the PFL SmartCage for the first time on Saturday, October 19th, against Larissa Pachecho. The two will battle for the PFL Super Fights Women’s Featherweight title.
Cyborg is a multiple time combat sports champion. She already holds belts in the UFC and Bellator. Now she is on the hunt for the PFL Super Fights title. Pachecho, is currently on a 10 fight win streak, including winning both PFL tournaments at featherweight and lightweight.
PFL Unveils a New Super Fights Belt
For this special occasion, the PFL has designed a new Super Fight Champion belt. Each belt will weigh 12.5 pounds, have a tribute to the PFL Smart cage, and celebrate each respective division in the series.
