UFC 275 Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka Betting Guide
Pumped for UFC 275’s main event, no way it goes five rounds. Either Glover gets it done on the ground or Jiri comes away with another highlight.
Glover Teixeira (+170) vs. Jiri Prochazka (-200)
Respect to anyone who bets on Glover Teixeira here, just can not bring myself to do it. Said from the jump that one day Jiri Prochazka will be the champion of the world, and his time is now. Prochazka turned down the UFC years ago because he knew he was not ready. Not many guys do that, Askar Mozharov should have taken notes.
Glover Teixeira is 42 years old but is fighting like he is in the prime of his career. Great guy, seen him on the regional seen in Massachusetts a few times and he’s nothing but kind. Even having the New England connection with him, I can’t bring myself to betting on Teixeira.
Jiri’s unorthodox style is tricky to figure out, it’ll most likely take Teixeira 2 to 3 rounds to get a read on it. That’s if the fight goes that far. For crying out loud Prochazka is in the forest punching trees every day. Riding with Prochazka by knockout, don’t see this main event going five rounds.
Bet: Jiri Prochazka (-200)
Prochazka wins by TKO/KO (-135)
Rogerio Bontorin (+180) vs. Manel Kape (-220)
Seems like Manel Kape has finally come into his own over the past two fights. If he stays that way against Rogerio Bontorin he should come away with a knockout victory. Plus the value on Kape by knock out is outstanding.
Plain and simple, Kape is the more dangerous fighter. He has all the momentum in the world coming off of two knockout victories. Confident Kape racks up a third one against Bontorin. Don’t need to drag this breakdown on, Manel Kape by knockout.
Bets: Manel Kape (-220)
Kape wins by TKO/KO (+125)
Jack Della Maddalena (-150) vs. Ramazan Emeev (+130)
Jack Della Maddalena has my attention, love the way he moves in and out of the pocket. Looked very solid on the contender series and had a great knockout debut 3 months ago.
Ramazan Emeev is a Russian with 20 professional wins, probably why the line is this close. If you dive into Emeev’s record he hasn’t beaten anyone. The only fighter he beat who is still on the active roster is smilin Sam Alvey.
JDM’s movement caught my eye, feels like a great opportunity to jump on this wave early and cash in at (-150). Who knows might even mess around with JDM by KO.
Bet: Jack Della Maddalena (-150)
Jake Matthews (+115) vs. Andre Fialho (-135)
Had to include Jake Matthews vs Andre Fialho. Expected to see Fialho around 2-1 odds, the fact that he opened at (-150) is wack. When Matthews first arrived to the UFC he was supposed to be the next big thing coming out of Australia, but he never lived up to that hype.
Jake Matthews has 10 wins since he entered the UFC in 2014, and out of those 10 wins only 1 fighter is still on the roster.
On the other hand, Andre Fialho is rolling. Back to back massive knockouts in a little over a month. Fialho is staying active and looking to finish quickly. Dropping a hammer on Andre Fialho, wouldn’t hurt to sprinkle by knockout either.
Bets: Andre Fialho (-135)
Fialho wins by KO/TKO (+105)
