UFC 309, is headlined by the current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones and former two-time UFC heavyweight titleholder Stipe Miocic. The two will take a second shot at a legendary heavyweight bout on Saturday November 16th, in New York City.

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones was already a big favorite against Stipe Miocic for UFC 309. Now Jones is a massive one.

When the odds were released for the UFC 309, Jones opened as a -410 favorite and Miocic a +320 underdog. However, those odds have drastically changed to make Jones a massive favorite. Sportsbooks currently listing Jones -650 and Miocic +470.

The major shift in Jones’ favor indicates that public money has come in heavy on the champ.

Jones vs. Miocic

Jones vs. Miocic has been a top priority for the UFC for over a year. The legendary encounter was planned for UFC 295 at New York’s Madison Square Garden in November 2023. Jones pulled out of the fight due to a torn pec.

Jones captured the vacant heavyweight title by defeating Ciryl Gane in Jones’ heavyweight debut in March 2023. Miocic, the record holder for most UFC heavyweight title defenses, has not fought since losing his title to Francis Ngannou in March 2021.

Jones vs. Miocic could potentially shape up as a double retirement fight for both legends.
