Khamzat Chimaev vs Dricus Du Plessis

Khamzat Chimaev is a -210 favorite against the current champion Dricus Du Plessis +180.

As an MMA bettor, there is one question you need to ask yourself before betting on the UFC 319 main event. Can Dricus Du Plessis survive the first round against Khamzat Chimaev?

If you think Chimaev is finishing this fight in the first round, take Chimaev. If you believe Du Plessis can survive the first round, take Du Plessis. Quite a simple formula when you boil it down.

Personally, I’m in the camp of believing in Dricus Du Plessis. Chimaev has only fought twice since 2023. There seem to be random reports about a new health scare at least once a year. Plus, you get the opportunity to bet on the defending Middleweight champion of the world at 2-1 odds. DDP is the overall better bet.

However, there is phenomenal value in Chimaev to win in round 1, at +240. You could hedge your bet and play both sides with Chimaev round 1 and DDP money line.

Bet: Dricus Du Plessis

Lerone Murphy vs Aaron Pico

Lerone Murphy is a +125 underdog against UFC newcomer, Aaron Pico, a -145 favorite.

The world should have PTSD from betting on Patricio Pitbull in his UFC debut at UFC 314. Yet again, here we have another senecio where a former Bellator fighter is debuting as a favorite.

Lerone Murphy has been fighting the best in the UFC since 2019. He’s undefeated at 34 years old and somehow an underdog against Pico. There’s a lot of hype around Pico, which partially plays into the gambling line. But we have barely seen him against top-level talent. There’s too much risk in betting on Aaron Pico.

Play it safe and bet on Lerone Murphy with plus money. You know what you are going to get when you bet on Murphy.

Bet: Lerone Murphy
