UFC Denver Betting Strategy

UFC Denver takes place at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. The event is available on ESPN starting at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) for the preliminary card and 10 p.m. ET for the main card.

As of Monday, former champion Rose Namajunas is a -200 favorite (bet $200 to win $100) over fellow headliner Tracy Cortez, who is an +165 underdog (bet $100 to win $165). That gives Thug Rose an implied win probability of 66.67%.

The total for the five-round main event is set at 4.5 rounds with -280 odds for the over and +210 for the under.

Rose Namajunas was supposed to fight Maycee Barber in the main event before Barber withdrew due to medical issues.

Thug Rose moved up to flyweight two fights ago, dominating Amanda Ribas in her most recent fight after losing her divisional debut to Manon Fiorot. Fiorot is unbeaten in the UFC and the presumptive next title challenger. Which makes Rose’s debut loss look slightly better.

Tracy Cortez is riding a five-fight-win streak. However, she is heading into a five-round fight at elevation on relatively short notice. Making it an even more taxing challenge considering Namajunas trains in Denver, Colorado.

It’s been interesting to see the line movement for Namajunas this week. I expected her to be a heavier favorite when this betting guide dropped. On Monday, she stood at (-225) As of today, she is only (-200). Who knows, it could be all the Cortez loverboys placing bets.

Thug Rose on short notice at elevation is enough for me to confidently place a large wager on her in the UFC Denver main event.

Christian Rodriguez should walk through Julian Erosa. CeeRod is one of my most confident predictions. Rodriguez is better than Erosa anywhere and everywhere the fight goes. Combine that with Erosa having one of the worst chins in the UFC. Dana White and Hunter Campbell are teeing up Rodriguez for a simple victory.

Either CeeRod KOs Erosa or wins a decision. The odds should not be remotely close. I’ve already taken the liberty of throwing a massive bet on Christian Rodriguez. Vegas got this one wrong. Take advantage and cash in boys.
