UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland Predictions

UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland Predictions

1-1-1 last week and made it back from Florida alive, looks like I may have go to back for UFC 261. Stadium full of fans, god I can’t wait. If you have never been to a live UFC event it is definitely something you have to do. I did see the Leon Edwards vs Belal Muhammad fight. Those two have to run it back. Not fair for Muhammad to step in on short notice and have that fight end in a DQ. I thought they would have given Muhammad the win.

Piss poor performance from me last week, did not have my laptop so I couldn’t even communicate with you guys. Plus I forgot to update my SEO at all, so the post flopped.

The liquor was speaking to me and I got a new idea for this week. Let me know what you think.

Kevin Holland (-170) vs. Derek Brunson (+145)

Kevin Holland is on a roll, 5-0 in 2020, quickly becoming a fan favorite. I’ve taken Holland every time in 2020. He has made some very nice money for us. Holland is just a safe fighter who sits back and uses his 4-inch reach advantage to poke Brunson down.

Once Holland notices he has inflicted enough damage on Brunson he will go in for the kill. Or we can do basic math, Ronaldo Souza knocked Derek Brunson out, and Kevin Holland just knocked Ronaldo Souza out.

Kevin Holland (-170)

Gregor Gillespie (-245) vs. Brad Riddell (+195)

Gregor Gillespie is back after losing me a ton of money against Kevin Lee, but here we are again. Before the unfortunate Kevin Lee incident, Gillespie was on a 6 fight win streak in the UFC. Gillespie is a balanced fighter with more experience and a huge advantage on the ground.

The match up was confusing to me, but I guess that’s reflected in the odds. Gillespie averages 7.02 takedowns per 15 minutes, with the inexperience Riddell has faced on the ground it’ll play a huge factor in this fight. Gillespie will get a late round submission here.

Gregor Gillespie (-245)

Tai Tuivasa (-210) vs. Don’Tale Mayes (+175)

Tai Tuivasa had a span of three very tough opponents resulting in three straight losses. Now he is back in the win column with a huge KO win over Stefan Struve. Tuivasa also ripped a shoey with the Nelkboys after the win, huge points for that.

Granted Mayes’s only losses in the UFC have come via submission and Tai Tuivasa ground game isn’t great. Tai Tuivasa has the momentum, his power is going to catch Mayes off guard.

Tai Tuivasa (-210)

Adrian Yanez (-220) vs. Gustavo Lopez (+180)

All aboard! The Adrian Yanez hype train will take its next victim come Saturday. Adrian Yanez striking is off the charts, all he has done is knock fighters out. I just see Gustavo Lopez as another one of those highlight finishes for Yanez. Not gonna lie to you, I know next to nothing about Lopez, I just know Adrian Yanez is putting on a show in the UFC.

Adrian Yanez (-220)

JP Buys (-150) vs. Bruno Silva (+130)

JP Buys looks like a completely different fighter from when he lost his contender’s fight back in 2017. Buys had a calm, confident deminer this time around in his contender’s win. JP Buys eats and literally sleeps fighting, his wife Cheyanne Buys. They are both making their pro debuts on this card, that’s goal.

Bruno Silva has struggled going 0-3 since his UFC debut. Did JP Buys get another shot at the UFC with his wife on the same card? Give me that all day!

JP Buys (-150)

Five predictions for UFC Vegas 22 Brunson vs. Holland. Let me know what you think about this style straight-pick style. Parlaying fights are tough, just so tempting. If you straight picked all of my picks since the beginning you would be up. Reach out to me on Twitter for any questions or if you wanna debate any picks! @DelinquentMMA
