UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs. Magomedov Betting Guide

UFC Fight Night: Sean Strickland vs Abus Magomedov. Live From The UFC APEX In Las Vegas, On July 1, 2023.

Sean Strickland (-145) vs. Abus Magomedov (+125)

I never envisioned Sean Strickland headlining three UFC Fight Nights over the past 7 months. As a society, we need to band together and protest these Strickland Main events. Plus, a handful of MMA fans have no idea who Abus Magomedov is.

Abusupiyan “Abus” Magomedov is a 32-year-old fighter from Germany with a 25-4-1 pro-MMA record. Who most notably fought in the PFL and KSW. Magomedov is 1-0 in the UFC, where he KO/TKO his opponent in 0:19 seconds of the first round. Abus Magomedov has 25 wins with an 80% finish rate, including 14 by knockout and 6 by submission.

Strickland vs. Magomedov is a perfect match up, two tough brawlers. My betting decision was based on their strength of schedules, and Strickland has clearly fought the tougher opponents.

Bet: Sean Strickland

Kevin Lee (+170) vs. Rinat Fakhretdinov (-200)

Kevin Lee almost lost his last fight against 40-year-old Diego Sanchez. I vividly remember watching that Eagle FC event and couldn’t stop thinking about how washed Kevin Lee must be. Remarkable that the UFC brought him back after that performance.

Whoever recommended that Lee fights Rinat Fakhretdinov in his comeback should be fired. What a way to throw your guy to the wolves. I fully anticipated Kevin Lee’s first fight back in the UFC to be a tune-up but did not anticipate him accepting a fight against a future contender.

This fight feels wrong. I am betting on Fakhretdinov all day long.

Bet: Rinat Fakhretdinov
