UFC Fight Night: Yusuff vs. Barboza Betting Guide

The Betting Guide for UFC Fight Night: Yusuff vs Barboza, Live From The UFC APEX In Las Vegas, Nevada On October 14, 2023. Two bets for the UFC Fight Night: Yusuff vs Barboza.

Jonathan Martinez (-115) vs. Adrian Yanez (-105)

Jonathan Martinez vs. Adrian Yanez is an even match-up across the board. Stylistically, the two are strikers. Yanez is predominantly a boxer, whereas Martinez comes from a Muay Thai background. The tail of the tape is borderline identical. The only significant statistical difference between the two fighters is that Yanez has a higher striking output, which is to be expected.

Overall, it seems like the internet wrote off Yanez after he lost against Rob Font. Yanez was and still is one of the top prospects in the Bantamweight division. Plus, Martinez does not have Font’s knockout power. In general, he is not a finisher.

The last powerful striker Martinez fought came back in 2021, where he got knocked out in the second round. Yanez is due for a bounce-back performance, and these are great odds for it. My bet is Yanez by KO/TKO for plus money.

Bet: Adrian Yanez

Edgar Chairez (-300) vs. Daniel Lacerda (+250)

Edgar Chairez and Daniel Lacerda last fought five weeks ago on the UFC Noche card. Chris Tognoni thought Lacerda was asleep from Chairez’s standing guillotine in Round 1 and called the fight off prematurely. Somewhere there is an alternate angle where you can see Lacerda’s arm fall limp.

Chairez will enter the octagon the more confident fighter, as in his mind, he’s already beaten Lacerda. Chairez is the more durable and dynamic fighter. He will get a new finish on Saturday.

Bet: Edgar Chairez
