Insane for the UFC to trust Alex Perez to headline a card on short notice. Perez will always be a pull-out machine. 13 cancellations since 2019 is appalling. Shows us how much they care about APEX events. There is a high probability you read this breakdown, and the fight gets cancelled. 

In any event, there is no clear path to victory for Perez. The only aspect Perez holds the advantage in is Jujitsu. However, Nicolau’s takedown defense is phenomenal, currently at 93%. 

Nicolau is the clear-cut better striker. Plus, he has been in training camp preparing for 25 minutes. There is one concern, Nicolau got brutally knocked out 11 months ago. However, Perez doesn’t possess one punch KO power. Which makes me feel fairly confident in betting on Nicolau.
