Arnold Allen

Arnold "Almighty" Allen is an English professional mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC featherweight division. Born and raised in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, Allen began training in mixed martial arts as a teenager, compiling an unbeaten amateur record before turning professional in 2012.

He built his early career on the regional British circuit, including a run through Cage Warriors, before earning a UFC contract off the back of a string of victories. Allen has long trained out of BKK Fighters in the UK alongside time spent with the famed Tristar Gym team in Montreal, refining his game under respected coaching influences on both sides of the Atlantic.

On the credentials front, Allen holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under coach Mark Nixon, awarded after years developing his ground game alongside his striking, and he carries an undefeated record in kickboxing as well.

Stylistically, Allen is known as a smart, well-rounded technician who blends crisp boxing and effective leg-kick heavy kickboxing with underrated grappling and submission craft, allowing him to finish fights standing or on the mat. That versatility has made him a difficult stylistic puzzle for opponents throughout the featherweight division.

Allen made an immediate impression in his UFC debut, stepping in on short notice to submit Alan Omer in 2015 and earning a Performance of the Night bonus. He later produced one of the more memorable comebacks in UFC London history, submitting Mads Burnell with a third-round front choke after trailing on the cards. Other notable performances include a first-round knockout of Dan Hooker and a dominant showing against Calvin Kattar, both of which added to his reputation as one of the featherweight division's most avoided contenders.
