Max Holloway

Max Holloway, known to fight fans as "Blessed," is an American mixed martial artist from Hawaii who has competed in the UFC's featherweight and lightweight divisions. A former UFC featherweight champion and former UFC "BMF" champion, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest featherweights in the sport's history.

Holloway grew up in Waianae, Hawaii, and turned professional as a teenager before joining the UFC roster, becoming one of the youngest fighters on the promotion's books at the time. He trains out of Gracie Technics, where a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt rounds out the striking-based game that has defined his career.

Holloway built his reputation on elite volume striking, throwing and landing significant strikes at a pace few fighters in UFC history have matched, and he holds UFC records for total strikes landed across a career. Combined with a legendarily durable chin and some of the best championship-round cardio in the sport, that output has allowed him to consistently pressure and outwork opponents across five-round championship fights.

His career highlights include capturing the interim UFC featherweight title before unifying and defending the undisputed championship through a reign headlined by two victories over the legendary Jose Aldo. Holloway's title run is remembered as one of the most dominant in featherweight history. He later added the UFC "BMF" championship to his resume, winning it in dramatic fashion against Justin Gaethje and successfully defending it against Dustin Poirier
