Henry Cejudo

Henry Carlos Cejudo, known as "Triple C" — a nod to the three world titles he has captured, Cejudo, Cejudo, Cejudo — is an American former two-division champion in the UFC, having held both the flyweight and bantamweight titles.

Cejudo was born in Los Angeles, California, to Mexican immigrant parents. His family moved frequently in his early years before settling in Arizona, where he took up wrestling and quickly emerged as one of the top amateurs in the country.

His amateur wrestling résumé is among the most decorated in American combat sports history. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Cejudo won the gold medal in the 55kg freestyle division, becoming, at the time, the youngest American wrestler ever to win Olympic gold. He also won a gold medal at the 2007 Pan American Games and multiple U.S. national championships, and he has since been inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Cejudo transitioned to mixed martial arts in 2013, carrying his elite wrestling base into the cage. His fighting style is built around that wrestling pedigree: relentless takedowns, dominant top control, and the ability to dictate where a fight takes place, which he has paired with improving striking over the course of his career.

Competing in the UFC, Cejudo won the flyweight championship by defeating longtime titleholder Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227. He later moved up in weight and captured the vacant bantamweight championship, becoming just the fourth fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two separate weight classes simultaneously.

Nicknamed "Triple C," Cejudo's career stands as a rare bridge between Olympic wrestling excellence and championship-level mixed martial arts, cementing his place as one of the sport's most accomplished two-division champions.
