Josh Hokit

Joshua Seth Hokit, known to fans as "The Incredible Hok," is an American heavyweight competing in the UFC.

A native of Bakersfield, California who grew up in Wasco and Clovis, Hokit built his athletic foundation as a two-sport standout at Clovis High School, ranking among the nation's top wrestlers as a senior. He walked on at Fresno State University, where he competed in wrestling and football simultaneously, then signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent before turning to mixed martial arts. He launched his pro MMA career with Bellator MMA, later fighting under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner, and now trains out of the renowned Jackson Wink MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico under longtime coaches Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn.

Hokit's amateur pedigree includes All-America wrestling honors at Fresno State, a background that carried directly into his combat sports transition. He earned his UFC contract with a stoppage win on Dana White's Contender Series.

His game is built around a heavy-handed, wrestling-first approach: takedowns, relentless top pressure, and physicality drawn from his football background, paired with finishing power that has ended fights early and on the feet alike.

Since arriving in the UFC, Hokit has picked up notable wins over Max Gimenis and Denzel Freeman, both by stoppage, and a unanimous decision over veteran contender Curtis Blaydes
