Rob Font

Robert "Rob" Font is a Puerto Rican-American mixed martial artist who competes in the bantamweight division of the UFC.

Born and raised in Leominster, Massachusetts, Font came to combat sports almost by accident, discovering a local gym while working as a pizza delivery driver in his early twenties. He turned professional in December 2011 and built his name on the New England regional circuit, capturing the CES bantamweight championship before signing with the UFC in 2014. Font trains out of Team Sityodtong in the Boston area, part of the tight-knit New England Cartel, under longtime Muay Thai coach Mark DellaGrotte.

A brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Font earned his opportunity the hard way, stringing together a lengthy winning streak on the regional scene before establishing himself among the division's consistent contenders.

Font's calling card is his boxing: crisp, high-volume punching delivered behind sharp footwork and disciplined head movement, a style he has credited to growing up watching Puerto Rican boxing legends Felix Trinidad and Miguel Cotto. He layers that boxing foundation with the Muay Thai, kickboxing and wrestling instilled at Sityodtong, giving him the tools to control range, pressure forward or trade in close without straying from his fundamentals.

Font made an immediate statement in his promotional debut, knocking out veteran George Roop at UFC 175 to collect a Performance of the Night bonus, the first of several such awards across his career alongside multiple Fight of the Night honors.
