In the main event, Birmingham’s Leon Edwards defends his welterweight title against Belal Muhammad. A fight that has seemingly been in the works for months. Edwards last defended his belt with a dominant win over Colby Covington. Meanwhile, Muhammad will compete for the first time in over a year, looking to extend his unbeaten streak to 10 straight victories.

Edwards and Muhammad faced off back in 2021. The fight was cut short as, Edwards poked Muhammad in the eye with 18 seconds into the second round, resulting in the fight being declared a no-contest. However, Edwards dominated the first round.

This will be Edwards’ fourth title defense fight since claiming the welterweight belt at UFC 278. The UFC’s longest-tenured champion, he’s currently riding a 12-fight unbeaten streak. As for Muhammad, he’s won 9 fights in a row.

The last time these two fighters scrapped, Blaydes landed a leg kick 15 seconds into the bout that blew out Aspinall’s knee, causing the fight to end. That fluky result did not turned off the oddsmakers. As they have Aspinall as a massive favorite in the rematch.

This is the first time Blaydes will be challenging for a title in his UFC career.
