Israel Adesanya (-130) vs. Dricus Du Plessis (+110)
Adesanya (24-3) is currently ranked as the No. 2 fighter in the official UFC middleweight rankings. The former two-time UFC titleholder has been out of action since losing his UFC 185-pound title to Sean Strickland in a massive upset decision in September 2023. Du Plessis (21-2) claimed the title from Strickland in January with a split-decision victory and has not fought since then.
Dricus Du Plessis brings an unorthodox yet aggressive fighting style. He excels in mixing striking with grappling, constantly overwhelming opponents with his relentless pace and pressure.
Israel Adesanya is one of the best technical strikers in the world. He’s demolished the majority of the middleweight division. The biggest question is, what Israel Adesanya will show up on Saturday? If it’s the guy who showed up against Strickland, forget about it and hammer DDP.
However, based on what Adesanya has shared on social media, he looks in phenomenal shape. It seems he solely focused on training for Du Plessis since their faceoff in July of 2023.
The UFC 305 main event will be an extremely close fight. However, Izzy will have the upper hand. The key to victory for Adesanya is to avoid being taken down and utilize his range to keep Du Plessis at bay. If he can follow that roadmap, The Last Stylebender should regain his title. Plus, you rarely get the opportunity to bet on Adesanya at this value.
Bet: Israel Adesanya
Steve Erceg (-225) vs. Kai Kara-France (+210)
Steve Erceg should be the UFC flyweight champion defending his title in this co-main event. He out struck Pantoja every round but made a mistake by trying to grapple in the 5th round. It doesn’t help that the event was held in Brazil, but we can’t change the past.
The co-main event pick exclusively relies on comparing their performances from last year. Kai Kara-France has lost his previous two fights and has not fought in a year and two months.
Erceg popped up on the UFC scene a year and one month ago. He fought four times and almost beat Pantojia for the flyweight championship. All before we saw Kai again.
The UFC 305 co-main event fight pick is simple. Bet on the more active fight who should be the flyweight champion of the world. Expect Erceg’s betting line to skyrocket closer to fight night.
Bet: Steve Erceg

Mateusz Gamrot (-250) vs. Dan Hooker (+165)
Dan Hooker was supposed to fight Bobby Green in December, but he broke his arm in sparring, an injury that was exacerbated due to the fact that “the bone had never fused properly.”
Mateusz Gamrot is in a whole different stratosphere compared to Bobby Green. How the matchmakers ended up here is beyond my expertise. Feels like Hooker bought an easy pass and jumped to the front of the line. Perhaps he was simply begging to fight in Perth.
Gamrot is a well-rounded lethal fighter, whose equipped to finish Hooker by any means necessary. Envisioning Gamrot bullying Hooker for three rounds, maybe even submitting him late. Mateusz Gamrot could be one of the best fight picks on UFC 305. I’d recommend parlaying his money line with Steve Erceg.
Bet: Mateusz Gamrot
