Benoit Saint-Denis

Benoît Saint Denis, known to fans as the "God of War," is a French mixed martial artist competing in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Before stepping into the cage, Saint Denis spent five years in France's elite military, joining the 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment at eighteen and later serving as an operator within the French Special Forces Command. His service included deployments to conflict zones, for which he was awarded the Medal of the Nation's Gratitude and the Combatant's Cross. He left the military in 2019 to pursue mixed martial arts full-time, carrying the discipline, preparation, and mission-first mentality of his special-forces training directly into his fight camps, an ethos that inspired the "God of War" nickname.

Saint Denis built his credentials as a French national amateur Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion before turning professional. He rose through the European circuit with Brave Combat Federation, becoming a title contender at lightweight, before earning his spot on the world's biggest stage with the UFC. He trains out of the Venum Training Camp in Paris.

In the cage, Saint Denis is known for an unrelenting, high-output style built around forward pressure, heavy volume striking, and dangerous ground-and-pound. His wrestling and jiu-jitsu background give him a diverse finishing arsenal, with victories by rear-naked choke, guillotine, and arm-triangle choke to go along with standing knockout power. That combination has made him one of the most action-oriented fighters in the 155-pound division.

Among the highlight-reel performances of his career, Saint Denis delivered a bloody, dominant TKO victory over Thiago Moises in front of his home fans at UFC
