Beneil Dariush

Beneil Khobier Dariush, known as “Benny,” is an Iranian-American mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC Lightweight division. Born on June 25, 1989, in Tehran, Iran, Dariush moved to the United States and became a standout submission wrestler and all-around grappler, training in Sacramento, California. He is a devout Christian, and his faith has been a central part of his public identity throughout his UFC career.

Dariush built one of the longest active winning streaks at lightweight during the early 2020s, defeating a string of ranked opponents including Diego Ferreira, Tony Ferguson, and Mateusz Gamrot with a combination of wrestling, submission hunting, and improved striking.
