Umar Nurmagomedov, known as “Young Eagle,” is a Russian mixed martial artist from Kizilyurt, Dagestan, who competes in the UFC Bantamweight division and carries one of the highest floors in the sport: a complete, submission-heavy game built on the same Dagestani wrestling system that made his cousin Khabib Nurmagomedov undefeated through twenty-nine UFC bouts. Born on June 25, 1996, Umar was immersed in wrestling from childhood and spent years developing his craft before his MMA debut in 2016.
