Uroš Medić

Uroš Medić, known to fans as "The Doctor," is a Serbian mixed martial artist who competes in the welterweight division of the UFC. Born and raised in and around Novi Sad, Serbia, he began training in martial arts as a young boy, first taking up judo before moving into kickboxing at a hometown club, where he built a foundation in striking that would come to define his career.

Medić relocated to North America as a young adult, eventually settling in Anchorage, Alaska, where he trained and coached at a local Brazilian jiu-jitsu gym while launching his professional MMA career in 2016. Fighting on the regional Alaska circuit, he built an unbeaten start to his career that earned him a spot on Dana White's Contender Series, where a standout performance helped him secure a contract with the UFC.

Medić holds a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and an orange belt in judo, credentials that underpin a game built primarily around his hands. He is widely regarded as one of the most explosive punchers to enter the promotion in recent years, a come-forward striker who hunts for finishes rather than playing it safe on the scorecards, with the vast majority of his career victories coming by knockout or TKO.

He introduced himself to UFC audiences with a first-round finish of Aalon Cruz that earned a Performance of the Night bonus, and after moving up from lightweight to welterweight he added another bonus-winning knockout over veteran Tim Means
