Sean O’Malley vs Merab Dvalishvili

Suga Sean O’Malley opened as a +164 underdog against Merab Dvalishvili. As of Monday, September 9th, O’Malley is sitting at a -130 favorite. The video of Merab’s cut played a massive factor in the line flip. Once the public saw a weakness, they began to hammer O’Malley.

The two questions of this fight. Can O’Malley stop Dvalishvili’s relentless takedown attempts? How many cracks can Dvalishvili eat before he goes to sleep?

Henry Cejudo and Marlon Morales both knocked down Dvalishvili with a left hook. O’Malley will catch him as Suga’s striking is levels above Cejudo and Morales. Plus both those guys fought Dvalishvili at the tail end of their careers and still dropped him.

Hate that the line flipped, but we must ride with our guy Suga Sean O’Malley. Merab’s cut is already an exposed weakness, which could easily lead to a potential doctor stoppage. The UFC 306 Best Bets would be to sprinkle Sean O’Malley by KO/TKO (+175).

Bet: Sean O’Malley / Sean O’Malley by KO/TKO (+175)

Diego Lopes vs Brian Ortega

Diego Lopes and Brian Ortega were scheduled to fight on UFC 303. Ortega got violently ill a few hours before the fight and withdrew. Lopes fought Dan Ige on an hours notice. As a result, the prediction for the fight remains the same.

Everyone loves the newest and shiniest toy. Diego Lopes is the hottest prospect on the market right now. Only five fights into the UFC, he’s already accumulated a massive fan base. Some OGs and pioneers don’t have a fraction of Lopes’s fan base. Leading us to forget the greats that came before the rising superstar.

Brian Ortega has fought at the top of the division for years. Extremely surprising to see him open as an underdog. The strength in schedule is incomparable. Ortega fought Alexander Volkanovski for the world title a little over two and a half years ago. He’s faced the highest level of competition since 2014. T-City used to be that shiny toy, but once you rack up a couple of losses, the world won’t see you in the same light.

Lopes starts incredibly fast. He’s coming off of three first-round finishes in a row. Where Ortega starts slowly, gauging his opponent, getting reads, and finding his distance. If Lopes is to beat Ortega, it will happen in the first round (Lopes wins in round 1 +325). However, if Ortega can withstand the initial barrage, he should be able to win.

The straight value on Brian Ortega is too good to pass up. Besides two doctor stoppages, Ortega has never been finished. In addition, he’s constantly improving all aspects of his game. The world will remember T-City on Saturday.

Bet: Brian Ortega
