Bryce Mitchell

Bryce Andrew Mitchell, known to fight fans as "Thug Nasty," is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC featherweight division. Raised in Cabot, Arkansas, Mitchell grew up wrestling and playing basketball, placing among the top wrestlers in the state during his high school career before turning his attention to mixed martial arts.

Mitchell built an undefeated record as an amateur and in his early professional bouts before earning a spot on The Ultimate Fighter: Undefeated, a UFC-produced reality competition pitting unbeaten prospects against one another. Though his run on the show ended in the semifinals, the performance was enough to land him a UFC contract. He trains and lives in Arkansas, where he also runs a working farm that doubles as part of his conditioning routine, and holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Mitchell's game is built around a strong wrestling base translated into relentless top control. Once he secures a takedown, he is known for suffocating positional pressure, heavy ground-and-pound, and a creative submission arsenal that includes chokes, armbars, and the rarely-seen twister. That grappling instinct produced one of his signature moments: a first-round twister finish of Matt Sayles that was widely recognized as a top submission of the year and earned him a Performance of the Night bonus. He also collected a Fight of the Night bonus for a hard-fought decision win over Bobby Moffett.

Across his UFC tenure, Mitchell has recorded notable wins over Charles Rosa, Andre Fili, Edson Barboza, and Dan Ige, along with a highlight-reel finish of Kron Gracie
