Josh Emmett

Josh Emmett, nicknamed "CC0," is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the featherweight division of the UFC.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised in Sacramento, California, Emmett built his athletic foundation as a wrestler, competing at El Camino High School before wrestling collegiately at Sacramento City College and later at Menlo College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in liberal arts with a focus in psychology. After his collegiate wrestling career ended, Emmett began training at Urijah Faber's Ultimate Fitness gym, home to Team Alpha Male, and did not turn professional in MMA until 2011, a notably late start for a career that would eventually place him among the featherweight division's most dangerous strikers. He has remained based with Team Alpha Male in Sacramento throughout his UFC tenure.

Emmett's wrestling pedigree gives him a physical, pressure-heavy base, but he is best known for his one-punch knockout power, a trait that has made him a threat against any opponent regardless of position on the feet.
