Marvin Vettori

Marvin Vettori, known as "The Italian Dream," is an Italian professional mixed martial artist who competes in the middleweight division of the UFC.

Born and raised in Mezzocorona, in the Trentino region of northern Italy, Vettori first found martial arts through kickboxing as a young teenager before being drawn fully into MMA after watching PRIDE fighters compete on television. Unable to find the level of training he needed at home, he left Italy as a teenager, working his way through gyms in London before eventually relocating to the United States, where he trained out of Kings MMA in Huntington Beach and later joined the roster at American Top Team.

Before signing with the UFC, Vettori built his credentials on the European regional circuit, capturing the Venator FC welterweight championship. He holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Filippo Stabile and has sharpened his striking and wrestling under a rotating cast of high-level coaches throughout his career.

Inside the cage, Vettori has built his reputation as one of the division's most relentless pressure fighters. He works behind constant forward movement, smothering volume striking, and a suffocating clinch and top game that wears opponents down over the course of a fight. His deep gas tank and refusal to let up in pace have made him one of the toughest outs in the division for anyone who shares the cage with him.
