Norma Dumont

Norma Dumont Viana Ferreira, known professionally as Norma Dumont and by the nickname "The Immortal," is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the women's bantamweight division of the UFC.

Born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Dumont began training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the age of 13. After stepping away from the sport for several years to work as a secretary, she returned to combat sports in her late teens, immersing herself in Chinese kickboxing (Sanda), Muay Thai, and wrestling. She turned professional in 2016 and built an unbeaten regional record before signing with the UFC. In pursuit of higher-level training partners, particularly in wrestling, she relocated from Brazil to Las Vegas, where she trains out of Syndicate MMA alongside a roster of UFC veterans.

Dumont's credentials outside the cage are among the most decorated of any fighter on the UFC roster: she holds a black belt in Sanda, earned after six state championships and a national title, and a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Inside the Octagon, Dumont is known as a well-rounded, high-volume fighter who blends crisp boxing with a wrestling-heavy grappling attack, using her length and physicality to control range on the feet and control opponents against the fence and on the mat.

Her career highlights include a headlining win over touted prospect Aspen Ladd at UFC Vegas 40, a statement victory over former UFC featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie, and a hard-fought decision over perennial contender Irene Aldana on a UFC pay-per-view card at Sphere in Las Vegas. Each result cemented her reputation as one of the division's most durable and battle-tested competitors.

Representing Brazil at the highest level of women's MMA, Dumont has built her career on resilience, marrying Sanda pedigree with a self-made path from Belo Horizonte to the bright lights of the UFC.
