Raquel Pennington

Raquel Pennington, known as "Rocky," is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC women's bantamweight division.

Pennington began training in martial arts after recovering from a serious back injury, later drawing inspiration from a Gina Carano bout to pursue fighting seriously. She built her early amateur and professional resume in Colorado Springs before earning a spot on the inaugural women's season of The Ultimate Fighter (Season 18), where she reached the tournament semifinals and earned a Fight of the Season nod for her quarterfinal war with Jessamyn Duke. She has trained extensively with striking coach Justin Houghton at Pound4Pound Muay Thai in Denver, a partnership credited with sharpening the hand combinations and pressure that came to define her later career.

Across more than a decade in the UFC, Pennington earned a Performance of the Night bonus for a submission win over Jessica Andrade and established herself as one of the promotion's most active and durable women's bantamweights.
