UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs. Walker Betting Guide

Check out the betting guide for UFC Vegas 84, Ankalaev vs. Walker ahead of Saturday’s ESPN event, which features Magomed Ankalaev vs. Johnny Walker in a lightweight heavyweight main event. Let’s all make stupid money in 2024!

Quick UFC 296 recap, ending up going 2-1 in straight bets. Plus we hit our main prop bet on Shavkat Rakhmonov by Submission at (+125).

No. 3 Ranked Ankalaev faces off in a five-round main event against No. 7 Walker on January 13th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. This fight is a rematch due to an illegal knee from Ankalaev about a month ago.

According to the UFC Vegas 84 odd board, Magomed Ankalaev is currently the favorite at -500 (bet $500 to win $100). On the other side, Johnny Walker is the underdog at +375 (bet $100 to win $375). Implying an 83.33% win probability for Ankalaev.

Jim Miller (-115) vs. Gabriel Benítez (-105)

Gabriel Benitez is a walk in the park for Jim Miller. Benitez signed with the UFC in 2014, we have never seen him take that next step. You could argue his most impressive career win was against Clay Collard in 2015, but he has not been able to accomplish much.

On the other hand, Jim Miller is still finishing prospects at 40 years old. The guy does not stop fighting. Miller is fueled by the idea of fighting on UFC 300. In no world is Gabriel Benitez going to stop that.

Miller by finish if you are looking for a prop bet and want to see some plus money. If not, place your hammer bet on Jim Miller.

Bet: Jim Miller

Marcus McGhee (-265) vs. Gaston Bolaños (+225)

Marcus McGhee became one of my favorite fighters to watch and bet on over 2023. He’s a well-rounded martial artist. Whereas, Gaston Bolanos is primarily a Muay Thai striker/kickboxer with a nonexistent ground game.

McGhee’s striking is on a high enough level, if not better than Bolanos’s. If Bolanos does find success on the feet, look for McGhee to get this fight on the canvas. That is where our prop bet of McGhee to win by submission (+275) could come into play. I’d advise half a unit or less on this prop bet.

Regardless of what avenue you bet, just bet on Marcus McGhee.

Bet: Marcus McGhee
